Like Martin Scorsese's Gangs of New York, this movie was long. Actually three minutes longer. Also like Gangs of New York, this movie features Leonardo DiCaprio. But unlike Gangs, The Aviator is a good movie. I didn't almost fall asleep, and at the end of it, I didn't feel like killing DiCaprio. Now there's a movie. Because it's long (169 minutes), I suppose you could say it drags in places, but overall it is an entertaining film. The acting is spectacular (just take a look at that cast). The cinematography and visuals are good, and it didn't really bother me that the CG scenes were obviously CG.

Scorsese wasn't afraid to tell a whole story, and it paid off. The movie is interesting, educational, and entertaining. If you've got three hours to kill, The Aviator is
