Mmm. Tasty. A Very Long Engagement was beautiful, and the colors delicious. I'll warn you, though, that A Very Long Engagement is just that...long. But for the entire 2.25 hours, the movie doesn't get boring. The cinematography is amazing, as can be expected from Jeunet, and Tautou is just so damn cute. I've seen reviews that say she doesn't fit in this movie, but I think she fits perfectly. The story is also a good one, although it can get sketchy at times. Be prepared to pay attention. It has subtitles, so you're going to have to read fast if you also want to enjoy the aesthetics.

If you didn't want to go see this movie in the first place, then I recommend you don't. You have to have an attention span and a desire to like it. If, however, you have an appreciation for this sort of thing, A Very Long Engagement is
